When submitting my initial proposal for this course, I was of the mindset that I would make a series of three short films combined with social media elements. I hadn't given the presentation of it all much thought, and assumed that I would screen it in a cinema-like setting.

However, in a recent Experimental Media class, we were introduced to Stan Vanderbeek, an experimental artist who created the MovieDrome. This large, dome structure creates an immersive experience for audiences, who lie down and look up at the film projected on the ceiling and walls around them.

I began thinking about performance and installation space- the point of the social media aspects of my original proposal were designed so that audiences would be able to interact with the content of my films but I realise that there is a directer way of doing this- through an installation space.

Now, trying to find an actual dome to screen films in, in the way that Vanderbeek did, is of course slightly difficult. But something with a similar level of immersion would be interesting to look at. Especially after our Practical module this week, which explored different ways to display a narrative, has made me think about how a space can form a narrative.

I'll continue researching and finding different ways that installation spaces work- once I've developed the narrative of my films more, I can hopefully come back to this and explore in what ways I can present my work.
