Light (Part II)

It's been a weird week- after being ill and missing a lot of class, as well as helping out on a couple of different film projects over the weekend, I almost forgot that I'd filmed an experiment last week regarding my Light narrative.

So here we are, a week later, with the entire thing edited and done, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on it. I shot it without much of a plan- initially, I wanted to practise my cinematography skills and play with the lighting. I had Hollie wrap herself in some fairylights, and in my dimly lit apartment we tried some different shots.

Upon editing I realised that the beginning felt quite strong, as if there was a narrative at play. However, because there wasn't anything planned, the second half felt incomplete and unfinished. Next time, I'm going to make sure I have more of a plan. Additionally, I need to experiment with script and dialogue- that'll most likely be my next step.
